October 31, 2010One week from today we will be back at the First Baptist Church in Waverly, NY! We are very much looking forward to our return and the opportunity to share in worshipping with all of you! See you next Sunday! Sadly, however, it is with much regret that we announce the loss of our original guitarist and friend, Todd Garrity, who has decided to step down from the band and will not be with us for the first time next week. Please join us in wishing him all the best. He will be missed.
November 5, 2010It has been a wild week so far for the Copper Coins band but God has held us firmly in His grip. We are excited to have the pleasure of welcoming Steve Hoover as the new fulltime electric guitarist for the band! Not only is Steve joining the band and becoming a part of this crazy crew but, after two back-to-back fun nights of practice, he will be joining us for the first time live on Sunday evening at the First Baptist Church! We are so psyched to lead worship again in two days and we hope you'll all come ready with your singing voices to join us in raising the roof with praises to our King!
November 22, 2010As we have said before, it is always a pleasure to return to the First Baptist Church in Waverly, NY! November 7th was no exception! We had a wonderful time seeing familiar faces and joining you for worship and we look forward to the next time we can come and share with you again. December 22, 2010Well, here we are nearing the end of 2010. This year has been quite a year of changes for Copper Coins. We were blessed with more opportunities to play and share music than in our first full year of 2009. We regretfully said goodbye to one of our original members, Todd Garrity, as well as long time members, John and Lea Tryon. We gladly said hello to new member, Steve Hoover, who has given us a boost of new life and has us looking eagerly forward to 2011. Our last event of the year was a very fun community event, Tinsel 'N Lights, during which we got to play at the First Baptist Church in Waverly, NY as part of the Christmas celebration. We were quite surprised to see so many people turn out and then stay to see us and sing with us. We ended up wishing we had prepared a longer set list! Thank you to all of you who joined us that night!
For those of you who don't know, Copper Coins will be off through the holidays so we can spend some time with family and we're taking January off on our event calendar to prepare for the Spring. You can catch up with us next at the Chemung Christian Fellowship in Chemung, NY on February 27th at 6pm. We look forward to seeing you all there! Until then, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy your celebration of Jesus birth with family and friends and ask for His continued blessings as we enter 2011!
